Creating a google account without gmail

You do not need a google account to receive email from the group or to send email to the group.  You do need an account to:

  • Read the Archives
  • Change your group settings

Here is how

  1. Click on this link (or copy/paste) https://accounts.google.com/signup/v2/webcreateaccount?flowName=GlifWebSignIn&flowEntry=SignUp&nogm=true

2, Enter your name, your email address, and a secure password.  Please save your password somewhere as this is one we won’t be able to help with.

Then click on the Next button.

3. The next screen will ask for a code.  Leave the screen and open a new tab to check your email.

4. You will receive an email with a code:

5. type the code into the form on the google screen and then click Verify

6. Answer a few questions about yourself, then click Next

The next screen will indicate that you must meet age requirements, click on Next.

 

Linking your email address to a Gmail account

  1. On your computer, open Gmail.
  2. In the top right, click Settings Settings and then See all settings.
  3. Click the Accounts and Import or Accounts tab.
  4. In the “Check mail from other accounts” section, click Add a mail account.
  5. Type the email address you want to link, then click Next.
  6. Select Link account with Gmail (Gmailify), then click Next.
  7. Follow the steps on the screen, then click Next or Sign in.

 

Joining the group

Please use this form to add an email address.

 

To visit the group online the address is https://groups.google.com

If you are logged into your account your groups will show in the main window.  You can click on My groups on the left if they are not displayed.

2. Click on the group to enter.  
Conversations will open first.  They are threaded by subject and you can see the number of replies for each.

5. My membership settings sets you change your settings or leave the group.
